Childrens Ministry

Mission Statement & Philosophy

Welcome to Kids Crew! We at New Song believe there is no Junior Holy Spirit! Our children are free to be who God made them to be and to use the gifts God has given them!

The Children's Ministry (aka Kids Crew) at New Song is a very important part of our overall ministry and we take the responsibility of caring for and teaching your children seriously. All of our volunteer teachers are vetted and we have safety measures in place, such as an electronic check-in system and more, to ensure your kids have a fun as well as secure experience in class.

When you come for your first visit you will receive a Kids Crew Welcome Packet that will provide more details for you. For now we would just like to express to you our vision for the kids as well as give a snapshot of what to expect when you come for your first visit.

The Children's Ministry Team endeavors:

  • To support parents and guardians in providing children with the tools they need for Grace, Faith and love in Jesus Christ
  • To foster a personal relationship with the Lord that lasts a lifetime

    • We have our classes broken down by age groups:
      The Nest is for children from birth to 3 years of age or until they are potty trained. The Green Room can be utilized during the service by nursing mothers that want to have a little more privacy than the nursery provides.
      The Range is for Pre-K through 3rd grade. Your kids will love to hear the day's Bible lesson as told by our puppets Emily & Jake!

    A couple things to keep in mind on your visit:

      Our check-in time for the Kids Crew is from 9:45 - 10:15 am. Arrivals past 10:15 will be asked to stay with their parents in the main service.
      We encourage our upper elementary kids, grades 4+, to join their parents/guardians in the main service as this has proven valuable in cultivating a curiosity and hunger to experience more of God in their lives.
